Amboseli National Park is located in Kajiado South sub county, Kajiado County.
The ecosystem mainly savannah grassland spread across the Kenya-Tanzania border. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants among other wildlife species. Other attractions of the park include opportunities to meet the Maasai and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world.
Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli
You will be picked by your Pilgrims Of Africa Safaris representative at your hotel/Airport, who will brief you about your safari. Commence your journey to Amboseli which is approximately 265 km from Nairobi city, with a stopover along the way while having lunch. Upon arrival check in at your camp/ lodge and prepare for your game drive. You will have a chance to see Elephants, Lions, Cheetahs, Gazelles, Buffalo, Wildebeest, Zebras and many more. Dinner and overnight stay at your camp/ lodge.
Day 2: Amboseli full day
After an early breakfast, pick your packed lunch and proceed with the game drive. Once at the reserve, you will get to spot herds of Elephants Grazing, Gerenuks, Elands, Bush Bucks, Leopards, Cheetah among others. Lunch will be served under trees that provide shade for the guests. You will proceed with the tour, return to camp for freshening late evening.
Dinner and overnight stay at your Camp/ lodge.
Day 3: Amboseli to Nairobi
An early morning game drive around Amboseli national park before the sun hits the ground where you will enjoy the clear view of Mt Kilimanjaro, which is the highest mountain in Africa. You will spot different wild animals as they get out from their hide outs. Return to camp/ lodge for breakfast and check out.
